HISTORY

With the support of his family, Ron Lambert established Seattle Services in 1978, initially selling pump-sets and TrailCo travelling irrigators. Responding to the needs of customers, Ron designed a compact, robust yet easy to operate travelling irrigator. This Pacemaker was eventually released in the early 1980’s and became a favourite with many Tasmanian farmers. In 1983 Seattle Services was awarded the Power Farming Machine of the Year Award for its Pacemaker irrigator. Disaster struck Seattle Services in 1991 when fire destroyed workshops, equipment and vehicles. Many believed this to be the end for this small rural business. Never the less, Ron and his family were determined to rebuild, and with the support of family friends, loyal customers and employees, Seattle Services slowly but surely rose from the ashes to become the specialists in irrigation systems and services in Tasmania. Today, Seattle Services are the only manufacturer of travelling irrigators in the state. Since the early years, Seattle Services has continued to develop its products and services, it has always maintained the philosophy of working with its customers to provide the best possible outcome and solution that is commercial for the customer.
